Motivation

This year Ambulance Victoria are proud to be partnering with the Movember Foundation to change the face of men's mental health. Ambulance Victoria employees and families are encouraged to pay homage to the Mo throughout the month of Movember by growing a moustache, moving for men's health, hosting a fundraising event, or Mo-ing your own way, in a bid to stop men dying too young. Around the world we lose an average of one man every minute to suicide. Suicide rates amongst emergency service workers are too high. AV is committed to tackling this issue head on.

Congrats AV, for raising over 20k this year to fund seriously important research and work in men's mental and physical health.
I really thought Wellbeing had it in the bag this year, but the Moustached Medics have once again come out on top. The trophy will be heading back your way so look out.
We also have a few prizes for our individual top fundraisers, so if you're at the top of the leaderboard I will be in touch!
Movember is over but our work in Wellbeing & Support Services continues- please keep checking in with one another and don't hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to help.

And we're on the board for 2022! Less than 1 month till we mo, and a lazy $39,900 til we reach our target. Too easy.
Wellbeing and MOpport Services look to continue their streak of peaking early, but in the couple of years I've been away it looks like Brighton Branch has really upped the ante against the 3-time AV champions, Moustached medics.
Very early days... but I'm ready for a big campaign.

And we're on the board for 2022! Less than 1 month till we mo, and a lazy $39,900 til we reach our target. Too easy.

We are now at 139 members and $26,137K raised and it's never to late to encourage your colleagues to join in and build on our efforts so far. Team AV is leading the First Responders Challenge, but it's a close race and we have some stiff competition hot on our heels!!

Our recent visit to the fixed wing air ambulance was a huge success - our community engagement partner Ryan, Kaitlyn and Amelia were warmly welcomed by Mark Lamb and his team and together they helped us create moustachioed magic. We could not have done it without you, and doesn't the plane look dapper and quite adorable with its new manicured growth?!
