Why Host a Mo-ment for Movember?

Men are dying before their time. But you can help us change and save lives.

It’s the best excuse for a good time

We doubt your friends and fam really need one. But if you’ve been looking for a reason to get everyone together for a good time, and a good cause, this is your sign.

Better men’s health grows bigger

The message of healthier men and a healthier world grows when you get everyone together in the name of Movember. So start the ripple and start planning now.

Raise funds. Save lives.

The money you raise will fund game-changing men’s health projects. And help us take on mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

I ran in a charity race benefiting Movember. It was unlike any run I’d ever done, silly and fun with all the costumes and moustaches. In 2018 we decided to use the entire month to host events promoting issues that Movember is committed to solving. We’ve hosted Movember Kick-Off Events, Mental Health Panels, and a month-long movement challenge.

I’m hosting the Sydney leg of the Fur Ball. It’s a black-tie, all-inclusive, cocktail-style party featuring DJs, live acts, inspiring guest speakers, and more. It started in 2022, when 300 people gathered from the wonderful local Movember community in Brisbane. It was a resounding success. We had a blast, and I can’t wait for the next one.

For me, growing and hosting is the perfect way to make the most of Movember. Each year, I double down on my fundraising by Hosting events as well as growing a Mo. Most of the funds I raise come from these annual events, which include open bars, mini-golf tournaments and post-half marathon celebrations.

I love my Movember team! My friend and I were Co-Presidents of JMoSB – a student-run John Molson School of Business association that partners with Movember every year to raise awareness and funds. Last year, we were 20 students strong, hosted four events, and raised $20,000 for the cause. A cause that really matters to me.

Run or walk 60km over the month. That’s 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world.

Our impact

Since 2003, we have built a men's health movement, funding over 1,320 projects around the world. We call it challenging the status quo – shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
